Montana Park Project Development

Montana Park is a newer park with the first phase completed. Phase 1 focused on transforming the former greenfield site into a community open play area, featuring a walking path and seating for public use. Montana Park was designed with input from the public through five community meetings held at multiple locations in 2019.

Phase 2 will more than double the size of the existing park and introduce expanded recreational amenities designed to serve residents of all ages and abilities. The project represents a continued investment in neighborhood parks, outdoor recreation, and community gathering spaces. The main amenities included in Phase 2 consist of an ADA accessible playground, an outdoor fitness area, basketball courts, pickleball courts, and multi-sport courts.

The Montana Park Phase 2 project carries an estimated cost of approximately $4.6 million and is supported through a combination of state, regional, and local grant funding. The project is anticipated to reach final design completion with bidding expected this spring 2026 and construction potentially beginning soon after.
