Several Turlock Firefighters are currently in Week 2 of Hazardous Materials Technician class. This 4 week course is being hosted by Turlock Fire at our Training Grounds. TFD currently has 3 levels of HazMat personnel: HazMat FRO, HazMat Technician, & HazMat Specialists #Turlock

Several Turlock Firefighters are currently in Week 3 of Hazardous Materials Technician class.
This 4 week course is being hosted by Turlock Fire at our Training Grounds. TFD currently has three levels of Haz Mat personnel: HazMat FRO, HazMat Technician, and HazMat Specialist.
All of our HazMat Technicians & Specialists are part of the Stanislaus County HAZMAT Team and train on a monthly basis. This collaborative team is available to be activated for any Hazardous Materials incident within the county or surrounding area.

Mayor Amy Bublak rode along with Engine 31 to check in with our firefighters and to experience some of the daily operations of the Turlock Fire Department.
During her ride-a-longs, she was able to respond to multiple emergencies with E31, including a potential structure fire, commercial fire alarm, and medical emergencies.

Engine 31 protects the southeast quadrant of the City of Turlock. This area includes main thoroughfares, the downtown district, schools, and residential areas. Engine 31 is staffed with 3 personnel and is housed at Station #31 located at 540 E. Marshall.

The 1st week of TFD's Engineer Academy concluded today. The focus was on Truck 31 & aerial operations today. All members passed this week successfully & will now focus on continuing their driving skills with their normal companies until the next portion of the academy resumes.
