Fire Department
The firefighting professionals and staff of the Turlock Fire Department (TFD) are proud to serve the citizens of the City of Turlock in Stanislaus County. Turlock is geographically located in the center of the San Joaquin Valley of California. It is the second largest City in Stanislaus County and is located along the Highway 99 corridor.

Responding to approximately 7,000 calls for service each year (from 4 Fire Stations), TFD is a high-performance fire department. In terms of critical infrastructure, TFD is the emergency service provider for a number of high-hazard occupancies, including commercial processing facilities; 1 hospital with an emergency department; the Stanislaus County Fair Grounds; and California State University Stanislaus, with a student population of more than 9,000 on a 228-acre campus.

This morning, Turlock firefighters had the opportunity to stand alongside our community in honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Recently, crews stopped by a local park in the afternoon to spray some water for kids in the community. The kids were excited to take a break from their sports practices and cool off while running through the water. Thank you to Engine 34 for taking the time to make their day a little more fun and memorable.

Yesterday, at approximately 5:40 pm all Turlock Fire units responded to a working structure fire in the 200 block of Almond Ave. First arriving units found a well involved attic fire in a triplex that had extended throughout the attic and into the living area. Due to the heavy fire involvement and extension a second alarm was sounded.

Yesterday, Turlock Fire Department was at Turlock High School with AMR Stanislaus County to teach hands only CPR to approximately 200 students. The freshman in health science learned a simple, effective method of bystander CPR and how they could increase the chance of survival during a cardiac arrest.
