Animal Services
The Animal Services Unit works diligently to serve the public and animals of the City of Turlock in a professional and efficient manner with kindness and compassion. The staff is dedicated to providing education, protection, and the humane treatment of animals in order to insure a safe and healthy community and to promote the benefits of responsible pet ownership.

The Animal Shelter is located at 801 S. Walnut. You can reach us by phone at (209) 656-3140.

For emergencies regarding aggressive, sick or injured animals, please call the Turlock Police Department at (209) 668-1200.

High wind and extreme weather updates. Please check your fences, padlock your gates and keep your pets indoors if possible. All pets should have a microchip for easy recovery if they become lost. Make sure your dogs are wearing their licenses and your contact information is current. These steps will help the shelter return your pets quickly. Be safe and try to keep dry.

I am available for adoption on 10-26-21 @ 10:00 a.m. on the date of availability if not reclaimed by my owner. FIRST CALL first pick of available pets on the date of availability only. No pre- appointments will be issued or holds. Must have proof of home ownership or rental agreement at time of adoption.
