Animal Services
The Animal Services Unit works diligently to serve the public and animals of the City of Turlock in a professional and efficient manner with kindness and compassion. The staff is dedicated to providing education, protection, and the humane treatment of animals in order to insure a safe and healthy community and to promote the benefits of responsible pet ownership.

The Animal Shelter is located at 801 S. Walnut. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, and closed Sundays and holidays. You can reach us by phone at (209) 656-3140.

For emergencies regarding aggressive, sick or injured animals, please call the Turlock Police Department at (209) 668-1200.

Whether cleaning cages, socializing animals for placement in new homes or helping to make an event successful, you can be a part of the life-saving work we do.

#A019178 my name is Mya. I am a 4 year old female. My owner has surrenderd me to the shelter for placement rather than reclaim. I am housetrained, walk well on a leash and am good with childre. My owner rehomed me a year ago to a family that lived in the country. Unknown how I ended up at the shelter. Mya needs an owner that can run with her and use some of her energy.
