Turlock City Council Ratifies Emergency Declaration

The Turlock City Council unanimously ratified the local emergency declaration related to the Unsheltered Homeless Encampment Crisis. Mayor Amy Bublak called the Special Council meeting for Tuesday at for the Council to act on the resolution to ratify the actions of the Acting City Manager who declared a local emergency on March 14, 2021. The Council had seven days to ratify the City Manager’s original declaration. The establishment of a local emergency provides the necessary basis to request state and national resources for the City to respond to the crisis, if needed.
