The California Department of Transportation is offering, through the California Construction Contracting Program (CCCP), free training, counseling, and resources in order to assist small businesses to successfully bid and win Caltrans and Local agency construction contracts.

New Public Works Contractor Registration Law [Senate Bill 854]

Beginning April 1, 2015, prime contractors and subcontractors bidding on public works projects will be required to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Prime contractors and subcontractors will be required to submit certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner using DIR's new data-driven electronic Certified Payroll Record (eCPR) reporting system. (DIR expects to have Phase I of this system deployed by early May of 2015. Contractors will be able input CPR data directly onto an online form or do a mass upload using an xml schema flat file).

Corp Yard Transit Parking Extension

The work consists, in general, of: construct a new detention basin with storm drain system and construct a new parking lot over the existing basin (substantial completion of the parking lot required by July 31st) and furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals needed to perform the improvements as shown on the contract plans complete and in place. Roger K. Fall Transit Center Phase 3 TI

The work consists, in general, of a tenant improvement of 2,189 square feet at the Roger K. Fall Transit Center, including concrete slab on grade, interior framing, interior plumbing, HVAC system, dropped ceiling, interior finishes, casework, modular furniture, installation of a photovoltaic system, electrical and lighting work, access control system, minor amounts of landscaping, and furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals needed to perform the improvements as shown on the contract plans complete and in place.
