Virtual Turlock
Virtual Turlock is an innovative partnership between the City of Turlock and California State University, Stanislaus that combines technology, education, and economic development to showcase everything our community has to offer. Through immersive 360-degree virtual tours and interactive digital experiences, residents, visitors, prospective students, and businesses can explore Turlock's attractions, shopping destinations, restaurants, parks, community spaces, and local businesses from anywhere in the world.
Developed in collaboration with Stanislaus State's Department of Computer Science, the project also provides students with valuable hands-on experience in software development, digital media, user experience design, and emerging technologies. By working alongside City staff and faculty mentors, students gain real-world experience while helping create an innovative platform that promotes tourism, supports economic development, strengthens community pride, and showcases Turlock as a vibrant place to live, work, visit, and invest.
Virtual Turlock represents a long-term investment in both our community and our future workforce, demonstrating how collaboration between local government and higher education can create meaningful opportunities for students while enhancing Turlock's visibility and economic vitality.
Virtual Turlock is currently in its early stages of development and will continue to evolve as new locations, businesses, and interactive experiences are added over time. This is an ongoing collaborative project between the City of Turlock and California State University, Stanislaus, and project updates, new features, and expansion announcements will be shared periodically as development continues.
