Noise

The Turlock Municipal Code contains an ordinance that regulates noise nuisances during specific times of the day. Any loud, unnecessary or unusual noise including amplified sound, animals, construction, motor vehicles and power tools are identified in the Code.

The most common violations of the Noise Ordinance are:

1. Construction beginning prior to 7:00am on the weekdays, and 9:00am on the weekends
2. Loud radios, machines, drums and amplified music

If you are planning an event in a city park with amplified sound, a Noise Permit is available to fill out at the Turlock Police Department. The Permit fee is $50.00 and you don’t have to pay until your permit is approved.
