A hispanic male adult, in his mid 30’s, entered the Valero Gas and asked for cigarettes. When the clerked turned to get them, the suspect grabbed the cash box from the top of the counter and ran, jumping into a white two door hatchback with a black stripe.

Neighbors saw a black male leaving the apartment during the day. The victim provided possible leads and officers were able to develop a suspect. Cory Nowak, 19 years, was contacted at his residence and some of the property recovered. Follow up continues to try to recover the rest of the stolen items. Nowak was arrested for burglary.
