The laboratory is responsible for the daily analysis of potable and non-potable water samples. The laboratory performs more than 5,000 set of analysis each month. Certified by the California Department of Health Services, the lab performs all of the compliance and routine analysis of the City's well water supply system and new construction. Wastewater analysis is performed to determine system operating conditions and compliance with National Discharge Elimination System discharge requirements. Analysis is also performed on industrial samples for determination of sewer use charges. Samples requiring more sophisticated analysis are sent to a number of contracted analytical firms. Staff consists of 2 full time certified Lab Analysts.
