Green Business Spotlight

TURLOCK SCAVENGER AND RECYCLING COMPANY

The Marchant family have owned and operated Turlock Scavenger, Turlock Transfer and Turlock Recycling for over 75 years. The three companies employ a combined 75 employees. Turlock Scavenger operates a fleet of over 25 trucks used for garbage, green waste and recycle collection for the City of Turlock residents and businesses along with several county areas.

Turlock Transfer provides a location for public customers to dispose of most any household garbage and yard waste along with FREE electronics drop off Monday – Saturday during normal business hours. Turlock Recycling is a dual certified location and operates a buyback center open to the public, as well as a processing center used to “cancel” out CRV materials. Turlock Recycling has a community outreach program and is available for facility tours as well as onsite presentations.
