Safety Programs and Services

Ride-Along Program

This unique program actually allows you to ride in the fire engine, and respond to calls with the department. All observers will fill out a Ride Along Request form and a release of liability form, prior to riding on the engine. All observers must be at least 16 years old. For the ride along participant’s safety they must stay in the engine cab area until the Captain can evaluate scene conditions. Due to the work environment, observers are required to wear clean presentable blue jeans or pants and a blue T- shirt or golf shirt. Comfortable shoes should be worn. Observers are eligible to participate in the Ride Along program, once every six months.

Bicycle Licensing

Bicycle Licensing is done for people at any fire station between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. You can schedule a bicycle licensing by contacting the Turlock Fire Administration office. An appointment will be scheduled with the fire station in your neighborhood or the fire station of your choice. Bike Licenses cost $4.00 and will remain valid for the life of the bicycle.
