It is illegal to bury your pet on your property in the City of Turlock, due to possible water table contamination. (Turlock Municipal Code Section 6-1-409)

To have an owner-owned cat or dog disposed of is $20.00 for a pet over 40 pounds, and $10.00 for a pet under 40 pounds. The pet must be brought into the shelter and staff will assist you when you arrive. In the event that you cannot transport your deceased pet to the shelter an additional $20.00 fee will be assessed to pick up the pet. We cannot guarantee when we can pick up your pet.
